Categories can be also be migrated as WordPress tags. Or, even better, you could choose one of the vocabularies in Drupal to be used to tag the posts/pages in WordPress, while using the rest to categorize them. This allows you to have a double classification system for your data: categories and tags. Note that, in contrast with categories, WordPress tags cannot be organized in hierarchy so you’ll lose that information during the migration of categories as tags.
