Many Drupal sites use the content construction kit to add custom fields to nodes (i.e. posts/pages/stories) depending on the type of the node (e.g. for “audio” nodes, you could define as custom fields the name of the song, the artist, the CD,…). This information is not stored as part of the node but in an additional table structure. Therefore, a simple migration of the node body would lose all this extra information.
This feature allows you to convert also custom fields from drupal to wordpress either as WordPress post meta-data or directly adding this information in the body of the post.
This feature does not cover the use of wordpress plug-ins offering a more advanced custom fields functionality. We can help you to analyze the best solution for you and advise a recommended migration strategy for custom fields.
