Many CMSs, such as Drupal ones, allow to add custom fields to nodes (i.e. posts/pages/stories) depending on the type of the node itself (e.g. for “audio” nodes, you could define as custom fields the name of the song, the artist, the CD, etc). This information is not stored as part of the node but in an additional table structure. Therefore, a simple migration of the node body would lose all this extra information.
Our services allow you to convert also custom fields from your site to WordPress either as WordPress post meta-data or directly adding this information in the body of the post/page.
The use of WordPress plug-ins offering a more advanced custom fields functionality may be subjected to an extra fee, check with us for more information.
